Rural Research Laboratories is loose affiliation of visual artists, writers, and tradespeople created to act as a resource and catalyst for the promotion of an artistic dialogue designed to explore and articulate the unique position rural communities occupy in contemporary America. RRL projects will include the personal Constitution Booklet, a video by Diane Janowski from the Mobile Matinee Project, and audio CD of the color code announcement for drug testing in Bradford County PA. Both projects offer a glimpse into a week's worth of living in Rural America. Rural Research Labs was founded by Tom Oberg who is based in Elmira, NY.
