James Bewley

The Farewell Party

Please be our guest as James Bewley and 667 Shotwell invite you to bid farewell to an entertainment pioneer. For over 40 years, the name Gilly G. has been synonymous with thoughtful children's programming. His long-running variety show, Gilly G.'s Goodtime Showcase not only gave local young talent a place to shine, but offered insightful interviews with youth about the creative process. After 10 years out of the spotlight, Gilly has remerged to formally announce his retirement from the entertainment industry at this special evening event. Enjoy cake, exclusive footage of Gilly's final episode, and an appearance by Gilly G. Formal attire requested.

Producer James Bewley has been a life long fan of the work of Gilly G. He is proud to have organized this special event for such a legendary performer. James is a performer and visual artist whose own work has been seen at several local venues including Cafe Du Nord, The Exploratorium, Mills College, and The Lab. He is a regular member of the sketch comedy group Killing My Lobster and is currently the Program Director at New Langton Arts. Bewley received his BFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1997.
